Protecting your private information is our priority. This Statement of Privacy applies to your use of the CagoMama app available on Android and iOS platforms, created by Cago, Inc., and governs data collection and usage. CagoMama app provides functionality to share your location information, in the form of street address and GPS coordinates, with another mobile user, using a Text (SMS) message.

CagoMama maintains a “trusted” contact list inside the app. You can either import contacts from the phone’s addressbook or add new contacts, to the trusted contact list. You can also delete one or more contacts from the trusted contact list.

On the Android platform, a contact in your trusted contact list can query your location by making a phone call. When a phone call comes from a number that you have identified as a “trusted” contact, CagoMama will automatically figure out your location using the best possible means, and send it to the contact via Text (SMS) message. The phone call does not have to be answered in order for the location to be sent. It can be a “missed call” where the caller hangs up after a few rings, an unanswered call, or a call that goes to voice mail. This feature is only available on the Android platform and not on the iOS platform.

CagoMama requires the use of following permissions on Android:

On both Android and iOS platforms, you can send your location to one or more persons in the trusted contact list by selecting the contacts and clicking a button to send your location to them.

You have the option to append a short message (40 characters) to your location.

CagoMama uses your location information to share with contacts of your choice, but that information is not uploaded to any kind of server or cloud infrastructure. We also do not require user registration before using the app.

Collection of your Personal Information

We do not collect personally identifiable information from our users. User registration is neither available, nor required, in order to begin using CagoMama. The CagoMama app does not include any type of analytics. We do not collect or share personal data.

We may gather personal or non-personal information in the future.

Collection of your Precise Real Time Location Information

CagoMama collects precise real time location information of your mobile device, on-demand, when you as the user ask it to do so. The real time location information includes both street address as well as GPS coordinates. This location information is sent to one or more phone numbers in your trusted contact list, of your choice, via a Text (SMS) message.

Once the Text message has been sent, the location information is not retained inside CagoMama. It is also not collected and used by Cago or forwarded to any third-parties.

However, the history of location information sent (embedded inside Text messages) will reside in the mobile device’s Text software, until explicitly deleted. This history will be preserved even after the CagoMama app has been deleted from the mobile device.

Children Under Thirteen

Cago does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use the CagoMama app and Cago, Inc. website. Parents and guardians need to monitor the list of trusted contacts within CagoMama in a child's mobile device, and to whom the child can potentially send their location.

Changes to this Statement

Cago may update this Statement of Privacy from time to time, to reflect company and customer feedback. Cago encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how Cago is protecting your information.
